A Witness
A Witness were an alternative rock band formed in 1982 in Stockport, Cheshire, England, by Rick Aitken, Vince Hunt and a drum machine, in 1986 replaced by Alan Brown (ex Big Flame). Keith Curtis and Noel Kilbride joined the group in 1983. Initially signing to the Ron Johnson label, debut EP Loudhailer Songs put them at the forefront of a wave of Beefheart-influenced bands that emerged in the mid-1980's. They gained further attention due to the inclusion of the track "Sharpened Sticks" on the NME's C86 cassette in the following year.

Bushman's Revenge aims to combine the jazz/improv background of the rhythm section with the rock/metal background of the guitarist to create their own expressive music inspired just as much by Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix as by Ornette Coleman and Albert Ayler.

Unsane
Unsane is a New York City rock music trio, formed in 1988. They are generally classified as noise rock, but their music also touches on elements of hardcore punk and metal. Finding limited mainstream success, Unsane are nonetheless hugely influential; writer Patrick Kennedy writes that "while developing the blueprint for noise-metal bands to follow, Unsane cut a remarkable swath through underground music, inspiring a devoted, cult-like following around the globe."

Thrall
There is more than one band named Thrall.
1. The Tasmanian Black Metal band Thrall was formerly known as Thy Plagues. The band began in the tradition of primitive solo Black Metal (i.e. Ildjarn, Leviathan, Burzum etc…). With the addition of a bass player in 2006 the project became a duo. In 2009 Em Støy shifted from bass to drums. Thrall has evolved from a primitive droning blast-ridden style to a more groove-laden hypnotic sound fusing Black Metal with Doom influences. In June 2010, Thrall released their debut full-length, Away From the Haunts of Men on Total Holocaust Records.

R. Cole Furlow fronts Dead Gaze, a skuzzy but very poppy lo-fi band out of Mississippi. In 2010, after Dead Gaze's first cassette release, End of Days, Why Not You on Mirror Universe, the group released a split with Gray Things on Clan Destine. ADULT. is an electro band from Detroit, Michigan that integrates vocals with drum machines, analog synths and electronic/punk elements. They started releasing albums in 1998 under the pseudonymn "Plasma Co." Initially, ADULT. members were unrevealed, but now it is known that the band consists of husband-and-wife Adam Lee Miller (formerly of Le Car) and visual artist Nicola Kuperus. The two members are also the founders of the Ersatz Audio record label.
