Indie Rock

There are three bands with the name Lowrider. 1) Emerging onto the Adelaide music scene in late 2003, the foursome met through the city's tight knit music community after playing in different bands. Brothers Paul and John Bartlett aka Papa John and Mr Cee, teamed with Scott Duncan aka Scotty D and Joe Braithwaite to form Lowrider. Their distinct sound has been developed organically drawing from very diverse influences including Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, The Roots, Mos Def and Erykah Badu.

Babybird was a British indie band, formed in 1995. The band was fronted by Stephen Jones, who has also released records as a solo artist, using his own name and the name Baby Bird. Jones had begun writing songs and recording home demos as part of an experimental theatre group in Sheffield. A collection of these demos (I Was Born a Man) was released in the summer of 1995, under the name Baby Bird.

Selebrities, A brooklyn based band bringing back something as old as new wave. The days of analog synthesizers, chorus driven guitars, drum snares and kicks have not been forgotten,Taking hold of such glamourus sound from the 80's 90's golden age, and mixing it with some spices of the post era, Selebrities gives use something that many have never heard before, making this band truly famous.

J Mascis and The Fog is the post-Dinosaur Jr. musical project embarked by Dinosaur Jr.'s founding member, musician J Mascis. After fulfilling his contractual obligations to Blanco y Negro in the UK and Sire Records/Reprise Records in the US, Mascis holed up in his home studio in Amherst, MA, which he named Bob's Place after his pet bulldog. Recording 99% of the instruments on the recordings, he emerged from the studio with the first J Mascis and The Fog album, More Light, an album title inspired by Mascis' growing interest in "hugging saint" Ammachi.
