The Arlenes

An acclaimed Anglo-American husband and wife team, it all kicked off 15 years ago when Stephanie and Steve first met in a North London pub. It was actually his first solo show. She thought he had issues with women. Still she agreed to come and sing some harmony with him at his little damp North London apartment. Next came tours, recording and a hip indie label deal, soon followed by a BBC TV show

Artist Type:

Peter Cooper

There are two Peter Coopers on this page: 1) Peter Cooper was five-years-old when he caught his first Kristofferson show in Charlotte, NC, not too far from Cooper's hometown of Spartanburg, SC. Something about the experience must have stuck, and from there it was on to Bobby Bare, Bob Dylan, Mickey Newbury, Emmylou Harris, Guy Clark, Eric Taylor and others who manage emotional literacy without ever seeming unduly literary. That's a tough trick to learn and Cooper's debut album, "Mission Door", is proof that he studied well.

Pimlico Road

Pimlico Road use Americana/Folk and Country as a backdrop to their vocal harmonies, just add a pinch of rock and pop sprinkled around the edge and you've got their sound. The Harmony Tree is their debut EP; it is self produced and is starting to get a lot of positive comments from around the globe! The opening track "Losing Carolina" is an upbeat road trip drama, with a really catchy chorus, "Those Days" is a nostalgic look at childhood friendship and as one listener from the States said "It brings a tear to the eye".
