Wax Fang
Wax Fang is a band from Louisville, KY. Originally a solo project of lead singer and frontman Scott Carney, in 2005 the band was fleshed out by drummer Kevin Ratterman and bassist Jake Heustis. The band came to prominence in 2006 when they opened for fellow Louisvillians My Morning Jacket.
Axel
There are most certainly many Axels. 1.) Latin Pop singer. From all music guide:
"Born in Rafael Calzada, a small town in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Axel Fernando began playing the piano at an early age, even gaining acceptance into the national conservatory, though he initially ended up deciding he would rather concentrate on more classic scholastic training. This didn't last too long, however; at 17 he realized it was music he truly wanted to pursue, and began practicing and looking for work.
Slint
Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the post-hardcore, math rock, and post-rock scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.
Guilt
According to Initial Records summer 1997 catalog, one of the best definition of Guilt's sound's given by Andy (who used to run this fabulous label): " If there is a such thing as emo death metal, then this is certainly it. Super thick guitars, tortured screaming, and drumming that is always where it needs to be... it's angry, tearing and emotional; fulminating the burdens of hierarchal society...". According to Trustkill fanzine - 'fuckin' monumental.'
Brave
There are two bands with the name Brave: 1) A Progressive Rock/Metal band 2) A Power Metal band from Brazil 1)Brave is a progressive rock/metal band with female vocals and violins. The members are Michelle Loose (vocals, keys), Scott Loose (guitars), Trevor Schrotz (drums), Ben Kelly (bass), Suvo Sur (violin, keys) and Matt Kozar (guitars). The roots of Brave began in 1997 when brother and sister duo Scott and Michelle Loose began writing diverse, acoustic-based, dark progressive music with their childhood friend and drummer, Trevor Schrotz.
