Green

There are more artists using this name: 1) Green is a power pop band from Chicago, USA. 2) Stoner/sludge metal band from Oulu, Finland Biography by Steve Huey
Chicago power pop band Green was formed in the mid-'80s by guitarist/singer/songwriter Jeff Lescher, whose influences included the Kinks, T. Rex, and soul music. Although such albums as Green (1986) and Elaine MacKenzie (1988) were fairly popular in Holland and Belgium, Green never had much exposure in their home country.

Shiva

(Not to be confused with DJ Shiva. If you are here because of that artist, Fix your artist tags.) Though signed to the classic Heavy Metal label during the height of the NWOBHM, Shiva had little in common with many of their contemporaries, opting for a melodic style influenced a bit by progressive rock rather than the rough style of the era. Firedance was an interesting album, but a bit lost in time, and possibly because of this, they were unable to survive, breaking up in the summer of 1983 and then reuniting for one final show in 1986.
