Ingrid

Ingrid is a name of at least three acts: 1) A hardcore duo from DC with two former members of Mass Movement of the Moth. 2) Named after the famous film star, Ingrid Bergman. Her parents ran a cinema (and still do) and Ingrid grew up watching movies which she says were a major influence on her decision to become a singer. Films sparked her imagination and fuelled her ambition to communicate strong emotions to as many people as possible. She started acting, painting and singing, soon to discover that for her music was the most powerful form of expression.

THE BLACK KNIGHTS

www.myspace.com/theblackknightsuk Hailing from Salford, The Black Knights unleash their primal brand of trash/blues. The band are influenced by The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Queens of the Stone Age, and a host of other notable garage rock/garage rock revival groups.
The band's love/hate relationship creates a volatile sound, with darkly poetic lyrics set to raw, stripped back guitar and drums.

Cranial Screwtop

From the mean streets of Bury and Salford these music warriors are playing 80's trash in a punk rock style. Gigs are full of free Um Bongo and Space Raiders and the Screwtop army turn up for gigs dressed in requisite glow-in-the-dark Screwtop tees with printed ties all as happy as larry. The drummer sings just like in the Eagles, but with less hair.

Jake Morley

A rare and unusual talent, Jake Morley has a musical style to drop your jaw, tapping and slapping an acoustic guitar on his lap as if playing the guitar, piano and drums combined... whilst singing. Sell-out headline gigs and the release of a critically-acclaimed debut EP This City have followed, culminating in major support slots for The Hoosiers and Nizlopi. Not just an unbelieveable guitarist, Jake's true talent lies in singing songs of beautiful, honest intensity. Have a look at some videos to find out more, then come and see a show.

Oh!gunquit

Oh! Gunquit are a North London based 4-piece band concocting spunky rumble bop trash since becoming neighbours in 2009. Tribal tom toms beat wildly and guitars twang, high-spirited vocals bawl and purr, and a seedy tenor sax wails for an extra slice of exotica. Songs about Tigers, Cherries, and Killers were recorded in the bands' cellar with Sam Bam Leadfoot on drums/vox Manchine guitar/vox, Dr Zoom on Sax and Wanda Slazzy on vocals & occasional trumpet. These Neo-surf garage rockers bring back the sex of the B-52's, The Cramps, with some Link Wray & ESG thrown in for good measure.
