Xanadu

1) Early NY hip-hop, featured on the Soul Jazz compilation Big Apple Rappin' 2) Xanadu is a 6 man folk rock band which won Battle of the Bands in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2006. The guys were only 18 or so at the time of winning the competition. By winning they were given the opportunity to record their debut and only album to this day. Their impressive instrumental talent coupled with lead singer Brian Payne's voice create a music genre set apart. 3) Xanadu is progressive rock band from Poland. HipGnosis

There is more than one artist using the name HipGnosis: 1. HipGnosis is a US electronic music producer, Eric Young. With several releases under his belt, he creates psychedelic music similar in style to artists such as Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Burial, Harmonic 313, Machine Drum, and others. Owing to both a sample-based and synthesis-based creation method, HipGnosis achieves a balance between organic sounds and processed digitalia, remaining ever smooth in the process.

Anthony Moore

Having studied Indian classical music with Viram Jasani in 1969, Anthony Moore composed his first movie soundtrack for David Larcher's "Mare's Tale". It involved extensive use of magnetic tape (time/pitch shifts, layering, splicing, loops, feedback). Since then he has created a number of soundtracks for European, independent movies, many of which have won international awards. In 1970 he moved to Hamburg where Polygram recorded three albums of his work, "Pieces from the Cloudland Ballroom", "Secrets of the Blue Bag" and "Reed, Whistle & Sticks", for voices, strings, woodwind and percussion.

JEBO

Bristol based JEBO began life just a few short years ago, founded by songwriter/guitar wizard Rob Allen and drummer Jeff France. The duet formed a band around them whilst Rob began working on their debut album ‘Sinking Without You’, released in 2007. Later that year and following a European tour, JEBO played support at the Loreley Festival in Germany to the likes of Jethro Tull and Asia, the band had also previously supported artists such as It Bites.

Ravens & Chimes

Grown from the halls of NYU, in the midst of one of New York City's harshest winters, Ravens & Chimes debut album, Reichenbach Falls, introduces a youthful, optimistic lightness in the form of a record packed with a series of eclectic and ear-grabbing tunes. Perhaps influenced by many a dark, snowy night in that winter of 2005, Ravens & Chimes dig out a catchy set of instrumentally-charged melodies that show their developed blend of unconventional sound. CMJ called Ravens & Chimes "beautiful" and "unique" evoking comparisons at times to either Wolf Parade or Voxtrot.

Disperse

1. A polish progressive rock/metal band. In December 2007 Marcin Kicyk, Jakub Żytecki and Rafal Biernacki met to form a band called DISPERSE. Fascination with artrock, fusion, metal and jazz contributed to setting the project music of which would abstract from common musical patterns and advance listeners’ imagination. During the first half a year of its existence, the band makes four songs and in March Szymon Balicki, drums, joins the band.

Sean Filkins was born in Rochester, Kent, UK. Being closely assocaited with UK, neo-prog band Lorien as well as UK space rock ensemble, Soma, Filkins is not new to the progressive scene. This is his first release War & Peace & Other Stories under his own name. The music carries all the regular trademark progressive influences associated with his music.His album was released in April 2011 under F2 Records.
