Hate Division

Hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada and formed from the ashes of Collapse, Hate Division lash out with savage deathgrind against political/religious hypocrites and the mainstream in general.Taking the basic elements of bands like Dying Fetus/Crowbar and other intense acts, these guys get their point across like a defiant fist upside your head.Sean Wyszynski has quite the vox happening here with his signature growl, while Shane Forsyth (who also handles drum duites) goes for the higher screams like the classic Steer/Walker vocal assault.

Gin Panic

Infectious, intense, low-slung rock, GIN PANIC’s hugely dynamic and colourful sound has been finding it’s fractured, twisted way around the UK since it’s inception in 2000. The band have developed a sound that mixes the jerky paranoia of New York punk and the fractured distraction of angular post rock to produce an exciting, heavier than hell sonic assault. In 1999, GIN PANIC swept through a sleepy neverland town and found Alex Robertson (voice and guitar), Kerrie McEvoy (bass and voice) Adam Richards (guitar) and Mono (drums) whilst they were staring into the sky.

Skepticism

Finland's Skepticism is one of the pioneers of funeral doom metal. Combining painfully slow Doom/Death Metal styled riffs, solemn keyboards and sparse percussion with deep growling, boundaries were pushed once again. The band uses four instruments: drums, played with felt beaters, keyboards with organ pedals, guitar, and vocals. With this, they create songs that are both within the range of contemporary doom metal in terms of heaviness and slowness, yet far beyond the range of others where atmosphere and sound is considered.

HK 119 is a powerful Nordic force resolved to shatter any illusions you may have about your comfortable post-millennial society. This beautiful blonde creature, at once Amazonian and eerily robotic, is the creation of Finnish artist Heidi Kilpelainen. Her dystopian vision of the world takes elements of the modern human condition and pushes them to the extreme, where people have sacrificed their humanity for consumerism, and technology pervades every detail of our lives.
