Giant Drag

Giant Drag is a Californian group, composed of singer/guitarist Annie Hardy and simultaneous drummer/synth-player Micah Calabrese. They have released an EP, Lemona, in 2003 and a debut album, Hearts And Unicorns, which was released in the United States on September 13, 2005, and February 27, 2006 in the UK. Giant Drag played their first show on June 4, 2003 at the Scene in Los Angeles, eventually getting residencies at area clubs Silverlake Lounge and Spaceland.

Queen Kwong

Queen Kwong is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and award winning cat handler (sort of) Carré Callaway, who was discovered at age 17 by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. In 2005, Carré was invited to support NIN on its sold-out "With Teeth" tour, where she performed as a solo act with only a microphone and a guitar. Four years later, Callaway once again opened for Nine Inch Nails on Reznor's final tour, "Wave Goodbye."

Operator Please

Operator Please is a band from Gold Coast, Australia that formed in early 2005 and their current line up consists of vocalist and guitarist Amandah Wilkinson, drummer Tim Commandeur, keyboardist Chris Holland, bassist Ashley McConnell, and violinist Taylor Henderson. Original keyboardist Sarah Gardiner left in April of 2008. They released their debut album, "Yes Yes Vindictive" in November 2007 in Australia and March 2008 in Germany/United Kingdom. They released their third single "Just A Song About Ping Pong" in Australia, debuting at #15 on the ARIA charts.

Beyond Pink

Beyond Pink is a hardcore-punk band from Malmö, Sweden. The band started in 2002. This is definitely something for all those into fast hardcore, as well as riot grrrls sounds and tradition of the 80's swedish hc/punk. Their music reflects how wide influences they have and it makes their music powerful and kicking. Their lyrics are alongside with the music, they reflect anger and critical views on issues like macho/sexistculture, violent dancing, cops, pro-life fundemantalists or corporate capitalism and their financial institutions like WTO and G8.

ESG

Since their inception, ESG has affected post-punk, no wave, dance-punk, hip-hop, and various styles of dance music such as house. They fell in with the late '70s and early '80s NYC no wave and post-punk scene, they had their music sampled countless times, and they became a playlist staple at '70s and early '80s dance clubs like the Paradise Garage and the Music Box. ESG (Emerald, Sapphire and Gold) formed in 1978 in the South Bronx.

Marisa Anderson

Marisa Anderson is a composer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist living in Portland Oregon. She works solo and with others. Anderson’s past projects include the Dolly Ranchers and the Evolutionary Jass Band as well as collaborations with many notable musicians including Tara Jane O’Neil, Mirah, Beth Ditto, Sarah Dougher, The Devil Makes Three, Cynthia Nelson and many others. Anderson’s second solo record, The Golden Hour, will be released in January on Mississippi Records.

Catlow

Jaymay

There are two artists that use the name Jaymay. 1) Jamie Seerman and 2) JayMay a Christian rapper. 1. Jamie Seerman is an American folk singer-songwriter from New York. She performs under the name Jaymay. She was raised on Long Island and in 2003, unable to find a job in book publishing, Jaymay began playing open mics. Her major musical influence is Bob Dylan. She has been described by the BBC as "darling of the New York 'Anti-Folk' scene", and by the New York Times as a "big name for the indie universe".

Lilly Wood & The Prick

Lilly Wood & The Prick are Nili Hadida (lead vocals, piano, glockenspiel) and Benjamin Cotto (guitar and backing vocals). Formed in 2006 in Paris, their first self-titled EP is composed of 6 tracks among which there is a version of hit L.E.S. Artistes by Santigold. The song Water ran is featured on the compilation Folk and Proud.
The first album Invincible Friends came out on May 31, 2010. A year later, they won the People's Choice Award at "Les Victoires de la Musique".
