Subtle
Subtle is a music group consisting of artists, producers, rappers, instrumentalists Adam 'Doseone' Drucker, Jeff 'Jel' Logan, Dax Pierson, Marty Dowers, Jordan Dalrymple and Alexander Kort. Although both Adam and Jeff are founding and continuing members of the Anticon music collective, Subtle is not on the Anticon roster. Subtle started as an Oakland, California based band in 2001. While considered by the artists to be "genreless", Subtle has close ties to the hip-hop and indie music scene. Alexander Kort has released CDs on anticon's official web store run by astropitch.
Hector Moralez
Now in San Francisco, Moralez began playing records at Rebecca's weekly at The Top, as well as at Liquid, and other DJ bars. It wasn't long before he got his own residency on Fridays at The Top, playing alongside Buck, Miguel Migs, Lance Desardi, J.T. Donaldson, Wally Callerio, Joeski, Onionz, the Idjut Boys, Joshua Iz, Solar, Mark E. Quark, John Howard, Simon DK, Steve Loria, Jeno, Tony, Gene Farris, Mark Ambrose, Pepe Bradock, Alexi Delano, Evil Eddie Richards, Gemini, and many other renown producers.
Vinyl
There are three acts called Vinyl: 1) a 'dandy rock' band from Iceland; 2) a seven-piece eclectic dance outfit from San Francisco; 3) a collaboration between techno producers Stefan Goldmann and Strahil Velchev. 1) a 'dandy-rock' band from Iceland. Band members are: Vocals - Kristinn Júníusson, Guitar - Egill Tómasson, Bass - Arnar Snær Davíðsson, Keyboard - Þórhallur Bergmann & Drums - Guðlaugur Júníusson.
Kev Choice
This Oakland native is an up and coming M.C. as well as an accomplished pianist and musician. He fronts a 10-piece band called "Kev Choice Ensemble" and brings a diversity and creativity to live hip-hop never before seen. He is also a producer and his mostly self-produced album "The Broken Mold" will be released in 2009. He is a conscious m.c. in the veigns of Common and Nas who uses wit and creative lyricism to bring a positive and inspiring message to Hip-Hop.
J.Phlip
In a male-dominated industry, it’s hard to find girl DJs who are as down to earth and talented as J. Phlip. Hailing from the Midwest and a recent addition to the famous Dirtybird crew, J. Phlip’s newest record Rumble Rumble drops this week. This prolific DJ also has remixes coming out on Dotbeep and Alland Byallo’s Nightlight label. Blending the sounds of house and showing off her audio engineering skills, there’s no way one can ignore her original beats that radiate energy and innovation.
Dynamic
There are two artists that have gone by the name "Dynamic".
1) Psytrance duo from Israel. They are and Ben Avital and Shay Elmakaies. Their songs on Psytisfaction CDs hit the full-on hearted minds ... 2) Urban Soul, group "Dynamic" operates out of California's Bay Area. They have released two albums. The first, "Photosynthesis" was heavily influenced by hip hop and the vocal style of Dynamic's drummer/lead vocalist Darian Gray.
