Norwegian Black Metal

Immortal is a prominent black metal band from Bergen, Norway. The group began in 1989 as "Amputation", a death metal band. Immortal's early full-length releases were of a traditional, yet complex black metal style, but their acclaimed album At the Heart of Winter saw the band begin to experiment with a fusion of black metal and German thrash. The resulting sound was a style which characterized Immortal's later works. Immortal has been influential to many modern metal artists. Immortal's founders; Abbath and Demonaz, have attained a legendary status in the Scandinavian heavy metal scene.

Okkultokrati is a band from Norway playing heavy, dirty hardcore punk. The band is a part of the Black Hole Crew, along with Haust, Night, Dark Times, Sumar, Blackest Woods and Drugged SS. Discography: Snakereigns LP/CD - 2012

There are at least five artists under this name. Two black metal Bands, a thrash metal band, a hardcore punk Band and an electronica musician with this Nickname: #1) Mayhem is a black metal band from Oslo, Norway which was originally formed in 1983, taking strong influence especially from Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Venom and from earlier Bathory. The name "Mayhem" was taken from the title of the Venom song "Mayhem with Mercy".

More than one artist shares this name: (1) Hades is a thrash metal band formed in New Jersey in 1978. The original members were still in high school when the band was formed and it wasn't until the '80s that Hades made it to a wider audeince, touring heavily and opening for bands such Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Nuclear Assault. After having songs appear on Metal Blade's Metal Massacre VI and Megaforce's Born To Metalize compilation albums, Hades released their debut album, Resisting Success in 1987 and the follow-up, If At First You Don't Succeed in 1989.
