Joseph "Run" Simmons or Rev Run was born on November 14, 1964 in Jamaica, Queens. He is best know as one third of rap legends Run-D.M.C.. Simmons began using Rev Run as a stage name after he was ordained as a reverend priest in Zoe Ministries. His first work as Rev Run was a feature in the single "Song For Lovers" by UK pop band Liberty X in September 2005. Later in 2005 "Distortion" Simmons' first solo album came out. The first single, Mind On The Road is featured in the EA Sports Madden NFL 2006 video game.
There is more than one artist with the name Freestyle: 1. One of the most prolific and influential of the '80s electro artists, Miami-based producer Tony Butler recorded a string of popular club tracks on Power/Jam Packed and his own Music Specialist label in the mid-'80s, helping build the electro legacy that would give birth to Miami-style bass music and freestyle (named after Butler's primary pseudonym), as well as influence '90s post-techno artists such as Autechre and Biochip C.
There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Arizona was an indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, NY. The band is currently on indefinite hiatus. Anders Parker is a modest man who lives in Burlington, Vermont and works as a musician. People who are into American songwriters know him as the frontman of Varnaline. That band enjoyed the support of so many enthusiastic reviews and high-profile fans (most recently Steve Earle, who released the last Varnaline record on his own boutique label ESquared/ Artemis) that it became a widely held consensus that they were underrated. Which was impossible, though not the fault of the listening public, who actually really do have a bit of an ear, sort of.
