Tiki Taane

Tiki Taane, is a New Zealand based musician and former front man of leading New Zealand band Salmonella Dub. Tiki left Salmonella Dub on the 1st of January 2007 to pursue his solo career. His first album Past, Present, Future (album) was released under the name Tiki on 22 October 2007. The song Always On My Mind became the highest-selling NZ song of all time on the New Zealand charts, and the third highest selling overall.

Samoan artist King Kapisi aka Bill Urale was the first Polynesian hip-hop artist to receive the prestigious APRA Silver Scroll Award for Songwriter of the Year for his single Reverse Resistance in 1999. King Kapisi has released three albums, Savage Thoughts (2000) and 2nd Round Testament (2003) and Dominant Species (2005) they were released in Australia with local sales hitting the gold status mark. The award-winning artist was nominated for 13 awards at the 2001 New Zealand B.Net Awards and took home seven of the prizes including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Music Video.

Nesian Mystik

Nesian Mystik are one of the top hip hop and RnB groups in New Zealand, blending a variety of polynesian singing and rhyme styles into a unique flavour of music. They beging with a top selling single Nesian Style following up with their #1 debut album Polysaturated in 2002. In 2006 the eagerly awaited followup album Freshmen was released, continuing their Samoan, Maori, Cook Island and Tongan blend of funky, happy beats.

the feelers

There are two bands calling themselves 'The Feelers.' The more established act is a New Zealand Rock band formed in the early 1990s in Christchurch by James Reid (singer/guitarist), Andy Lynch (lead guitar) Matt Short (Bass) and Hamish Gee (Drums). The Feelers got a record deal with Warner Music and released their first album, SuperSystem, in 1998. It was the second biggest selling album in New Zealand that year.
