Sublime

Sublime was an American reggae/punk/ska band from Long Beach, California, United States. A more detailed look at the band's stylistic influences reveals a mix of reggae and dub, ska, punk, progressive rock, acoustic rock, hip-hop, and dancehall. The band consisted of three members: Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Bud Gaugh (drums), and Eric Wilson (bass guitar). The band achieved mainstream success with their self-titled third album, but Brad died of a heroin overdose shortly before and the band broke up soon after.

Volcanoes

LATE in 2004 four young men of high ambition formed a band called Volcanoes. Founded on acoustic roots the band emerged as an energetic yet soulful Rock and Roll band, diverging into Blues, Rock and Indie. This jigsaw of styles makes Volcanoes one of the most exciting and innovative new bands around. The bands debut recording The Red Door EP received wide acclaim, combined with their outstanding live performances the band has already made an impressive dent in both the Sheffield and Leeds music scene.

Cosmo Jarvis

Cosmo Jarvis could well be the voice of angst-ridden teens everywhere, but let's start off in England. The rock/hip-hop sound is something that has needed to be done (well) in Britain for a long long time, and Cosmo has done it. His tunes about girls (or rather obsessing over girls) are brilliantly witty and have a completely different sound and take on the subject than the average 'love song' whilst still letting the listener know that Mel, Jessica Alba or, indeed, Maxine are in Cosmo's head constantly (as girls are when you're a teenager).

It is in July of the year 2000 as dj Rudeboy (Dave Paalhaar) and his brother (nowadays known as T-Junction) buy themselves a set of turntables and a mixer to try to let a wish come true: becoming well-known dj's throughout the world. After a lot of practicing all of the aspects of dj'ing at home and at the local youthcentre Radar, the promoter of the eastside underground MC Syco was intrigued by the skills of this talent and gave him the opportunity to rock the decks at an Oldschool Madness party.
