Toby Sligo
Born in a fishing village in England, Toby Sligo is an artist who cites his influences as The Velvet Underground, Mississippi John Hurt and poet Arthur Rimbaud. Writing and performing his own songs, Toby Sligo released his first EP in 2007 which was titled ‘As Pure As The Thames’ and produced by Richard Coombes. The EP was well received and Sligo was praised for the amalgamation of styles, as well as his venture to push the boundaries of acoustic guitar-based blues music by incorporating an electric twist on the vocals.
