Hands

There is more than one band with the name Hands: [1] Shane Ochsner, Josh Silbernagel, Chris Schwartz and Jerik Hendrickson are collectively Hands, a band that combines circling atmospheric guitars punctuated with hard hitting progressions. They are a band in which rock and roll meets ambient hardcore and warm silvery singing rivals hardcore screams. The warmth of their songs is in strong contrast to the raw biting North Dakota weather that surrounds them.

Mark H began putting records side by side on turntables sometime in the late 1990s and has been doing so nearly everyday since. His style is always on the hard side, preferring clearing a room to packing it during his sets. With special attention paid to collecting classic hardcore tracks as well a wide gamut of ragga jungle Mark's record collection numbers near the thousands. Associations: Wall of TVs, Grindthieves, Red River Rising and Flavor Country.

Clare & the Reasons

Clare and the Reasons call Brooklyn home, but after touring around the world extensively for their first two albums with Van Dyke Parks, My Brightest Diamond, and on their own, they needed a new setting – one that would make them see and hear differently. For 8 months in 2011 they lived in an apartment on Berlin’s Bergstrasse, on the western edges of what used to be the East. They got a 1968 Schwalbe moped – model KR-51 – and sped around the city at a velocity the congested New York streets would have prohibited.
