An English folk group from Hull, Yorkshire, the Watersons performed mainly traditional songs with little or no accompaniment. Their distinctive sound came from their close harmonies. Original members were Norma Waterson, Mike Waterson, and Lal Waterson, with their cousin John Harrison from Kingston High School. They had a skiffle band in the early 1960s but moved on to playing more traditional material. They were briefly known as "The Folksons".
The Lumineers are a folk rock trio which formed in Denver, Colorado, United States in 2002. The band consists of Wesley Schultz (vocals, guitar), Neyla Pekarek (piano, cello, mandolin, vocals) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, vocals). The band's debut self-titled album was released on April 3, 2012. The Leaves were an American garage band formed in California in 1963. They are best known for their version of the song "Hey Joe", which was a hit in 1966. Theirs is the earliest release of this song, which became a rock standard. Guitarist Bobby Arlin was subsequently in The Hook, while bassist/vocalist Jim Pons also played with Frank Zappa and The Turtles.

A band finally formed in mid 2011, The members of the band brought their own influences and experience, and made the music evolve into what it is today. They recorded their first album independently in December 2011 at Jungle Studios.
