The Mess Hall

The Mess Hall are a two-piece rock and roll combo based in Sydney, New South Wales that formed in 2001. Widely respected for their live shows, The Mess Hall have toured Australia extensively both in their own right and supporting bands such as You Am I, Jet and The Strokes. They have also toured the US and Japan, notably with fellow Sydney band, Wolfmother. Outside the driving drums and guitar of The Mess Hall, singer/guitarist Jed Kurzel is an acoustic artist of some note. Drummer Cec Condon is a veteran of the Brisbane music scene.

Electro/garage/punk trio Bosom have been delivering their special brand of awesome to Sydney's rock venues (including Oxford Art Factory, The Annandale Hotel, The Lansdowne hotel, The Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills, Sosueme, The Factory Theatre & The Red Rattler) since 2006. Influenced by seventies punk and eighties new wave acts like X-Ray Spex, Ramones, New York Dolls, Devo, Blondie and Transvision Vamp, Bosom’s infectious tunes are delivered like a piece of bubble-gum snapping in your face.

2. BENI is a Japanese pop singer, currenly signed to the Universal Music Japan record label. She made her debut as a member of the defunct supergroup Bishoujo Club 31, and was the first member of the group to pursue a solo career while being an active member. In 2004, she debuted on the avex trax record label as Arashiro Beni (安良城紅).

CONICS are an explosive young five-piece post-punk band from Sydney, Australia that formed in mid-2010. Their music is rhythmically driven, incorporating bright, high-pitched guitars, soaring synth lines and harmonious vocal melodies. CONICS' influences range from a host of British new-wave and post-punk acts such as The Cure and Joy Division, to an array of contemporary indie artists including Foals and Klaxons. Starky

Aussie pop-rockers Starky have just been signed to Island Records in the UK (U2, Keane, PJ Harvey), and have already made a name for themselves across international waters. Their success also shining via the tour circuit, supporting the likes of 78 Saab, Spoon, and taking part in several highly acclaimed music festivals. The band broke up in 2007, announcing this on their myspace. In January 2008 it was blogged that Jonny and Beau were commencing the recording of a joint album in January 2008.

The Tango Saloon

The Tango Saloon is an experimental tango band from Sydney, Australia. Their self-titled debut, a tango-flavored album with a twist of spaghetti western, was released in 2006 by Ipecac Recordings, the American record label run by Mike Patton and Greg Werckman. The followup, Transylvania was released in 2008. In June 2007, the band was seen supporting Ipecac label-mates Peeping Tom on the East-coast leg of their Australian tour.
