Captain

Captain are an English band from London, UK, who formed in early 2005. They perform a range of alternative pop songs, getting their musical influences from groups such as the Smashing Pumpkins, The Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine and The Cure. The band was signed to EMI achieving minor chart success in 2006 with their singles Broke and Glorious, which reached numbers 34 and 30, respectively on the UK Top 40. Their début album, This Is "Hazelville," reached number 23 on the UK Albums Chart.

Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate were a four-piece indie band from Sheffield, England who formed in 2005 and split in 2009. Like many other up and coming bands such as The Law, The View and The Lions, they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records, later parting ways in November 2007.

Will Young

William Robert Young (born January 20, 1979), is a British singer and actor. He catapulted to fame after winning the inaugural UK Pop Idol contest. Young was born in Wokingham, Berkshire, with a non-identical twin, Rupert. He was educated at Horris Hill preparatory school and Wellington College. He then attended the University of Exeter where he read Politics. At university, some of Young's old haunts included Timepiece, The Old Firehouse, and Harry's, where he used to work.

Aqua

Aqua is a - dance-pop group, best known for their 1997 breakthrough single Barbie Girl. Initially forming as Joyspeed in 1989, the band was renamed Aqua in 1994 and achieved huge success across the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group managed to top the UK Singles Chart with their first three singles. The group released two albums: Aquarium in 1997 and Aquarius in 2000, before splitting up in July 2001. The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most successful Danish band ever and the second most successful Norwegian band.

Alistair Griffin

Alistair Griffin is a British singer songwriter from Yorkshire with a distinctive pure toned voice. He plays acoustic guitar and also sings lead vocals with his own band, blue nun. His music encompasses a wide variety of different styles, from light jangly pop to simple acoustic love songs; from anthemic ballads to full on rock. In 2003, after several years singing with various bands, he went on Fame Academy to try and get a solo record deal.

Mystery Jets

Hailing from Eel Pie Island, London, England Mystery Jets are a prog/psychedelia-influenced British indie band who refer to as many genres as they like without being bound by any of them. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Blaine Harrison (lead vocals, keyboards), his father Henry Harrison (guitar, backing vocals), William Rees (lead guitar), Kai Fish (bass) and Kapil Trivedi (drums)
After some EPs and an NME featured track (Alas Agnes), the band toured and released their album 'Making Dens' in 2006 to positive reviews.

King Adora

UK rock group King Adora formed in Birmingham in 1998, reputedly taking their name from an oversized adult toy they'd seen in a sex shop. With strong punk and glam rock influences, similar to American power pop, they often drew comparisons to Suede, The Pixies, and the early Manic Street Preachers. They had a successful touring career and picked up a devoted fanbase (who were often also Rachel Stamp, Placebo and Manic Street Preachers fans), although they never made a real impression on the mainstream.

Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson (born September 29, 1967) is an English singer-songwriter born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. He was the lead vocalist of rock band Suede from 1989 until their split in 2002. He then fronted The Tears with ex-Suede guitarist, Bernard Butler although as of 2006 they are on hiatus. So far Anderson has released 3 solo albums. His self-titled debut was released in 2007. The following year brought the quieter, piano-driven Wilderness and Slow Attack was released in 2009.
