Martha Reeves & The Vandellas

Martha and the Vandellas were one of the most successful groups in the Motown roster during the 1960s and fully active from 1960 to 1972, performing at various times doo-wop, pop, rock and roll and soul. The label's second most-successful girl group after The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas were known for a churchier, more southern-styled soul than the Supremes, as typified in Motown hits such as "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave", "Jimmy Mack", "I'm Ready For Love", "My Baby Loves Me", "Nowhere to Run", and, their signature song, "Dancing in the Street".

Maxi Priest

Maxi Priest (born Max Alfred Elliott on June 10, 1961) is a reggae singer from England. Career Of West Indian descent, and the second youngest of nine children, he was born in Lewisham, London. He is known as the 'King of Lovers Rock'. His music is sometimes closer to R&B, and pop, than to reggae music itself. His first major album was the self-titled Maxi Priest (1988) along with his cover of Cat Stevens' Wild World established him as one of the British reggae top singers this internationally acclaimed vocalist, is the only UK reggae act to score an American Billboard Number One.

Tammi Terrell

Tammi Terrell (born Thomasina Montgomery) (April 29, 1945 to March 16, 1970) was an American Motown singer in the 1960s, best known for her duets with Marvin Gaye. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she entered the music business at the age of 13, regularly performing live. In 1961 she was signed to the fledgling Scepter Records (later Wand Records), recording under the name "Tammy Montgomery". After coming to the attention of James Brown she recorded one single apiece for Brown's own Try Me record label and, in 1964, Checker Records.

Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder (born May 13, 1950 Saginaw, MI) is a singer, songwriter, producer, musician, humanitarian and social activist. Although his name at birth was Stevland Judkins, he later changed his name to Stevland Morris. His mother's biography states that his surname was legally changed to Morris, "an old family name", in 1961 when he signed with Motown. Wonder has recorded more than 30 Top 10 hits, won two dozen Grammys, also one for lifetime achievement, and been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters halls of fame.

Mary Wilson

Mary Wilson (born March 6, 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi) is an American singer best known for her work as a member of the Motown soul and pop group The Supremes. Wilson (www.MaryWilson.com) was the only Supreme who remained in the group from the very beginning in 1959, when the group was known as The Primettes, until the very end, when the group was dissolved in 1977. As a member of the Supremes, Wilson (along with Florence Ballard, Diana Ross, and later, Cindy Birdsong) enjoyed twelve US #1 hit records.

Gage

Pierre Gage (born 3 January 1977, Montreal, Quebec, Canada), known by his last name Gage, is a Francophone Canadian singer/songwriter of Jamaican and Haitian ancestry. Gage got his start in the music business while still attending high school by landing the role of Johny Roquefort after attending an audition for the rock opera Starmania. Thus began his career as a musician heavily influenced by Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Lauryn Hill; influences partly explained by Gage's Jamaican and Haitian roots.

Lyrics Born (a.k.a. Asia Born) is Tom Shimura (b. 1972), originally from Berkeley, California, though through his childhood he lived in Tokyo, Japan, and Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his hip hop career while at college at UC Davis, where he was a DJ at the college station KDVS. He is a founding member of the group of artists known as Quannum Projects. He is also one half of the group Latyrx with fellow MC Lateef The Truth Speaker.
