UNHOLY

There are at least three artists with this name. 1) Unholy is a Finnish doom metal band that was considerably influential to funeral doom and atmo death/doom styles. They formed in the late 80s as Holy Hell, and changed their name to Unholy in 1990. They released a few demos and 4 full-length albums. After the second full-length album, the band was briefly broken up. At reformation, the other guitarist left out from line-up. Two more albums were made after that, but in 2002 the final split was to come.

Creeping

Creeping is a Stoner/Black Metal band from New Zealand. Featuring members of Stoner outfit The House of Capricorn, Creeping play black metal infused with wicked groove and rock elements similar to bands like Craft and Darkthrone meets Kyuss + a lot of drugs! Lyrical themes involve grimness and darkness. 2007 they released their debut album on Australian label Asphyxiate Recordings titled "Funeral Crawl". MEMBERS:

The band was founded in 1996 by guitarist / songwriter Norbert Czetvitz. From the very beginning the quintet has been inspired by bands like Bolt Thrower, Entombed, Crowbar, etc. Lyrics deal with important issues of existence such as social problems or the relation of mankind and nature. 2) doom metal band from Spain. 3) Japanese Visual Kei band.

The Graviators are :

Henrik Bergman: Drums The Graviators formed in the woods outside Karlshamn, Sweden, with a vision to write and record music inspired by the sounds of the great rock n roll groups of the 70's. Seeing as rock n roll is dead today as we know it, the band hope to provide a spark in the dark. The Graviators blend of vintage rock with more modern stoner caught the ear of swedish label Transubstans who signed the band in early 2009.

Mournful doom metal with ethnic and progressive overtones and a heavy dose of melancholy. The extensive use of atmospheric keyboards, various organ sounds and chanted vocals (although a lot of the vocals are grunted) creates a solemn, mystical atmosphere on many tracks. The music also incorporates many metal riffs as well as faster and more aggressive interludes.

Slomatics

Belfast's and Northern Ireland's resident sludge metal kings, Slomatics, formed from parts of numerous local bands including the Naut quickly got to work to play their own brand of dual-guitar doom metal. Fallen

There are several groups, at least 5, with the name "Fallen". 1)
Fallen is the extreme-doom solo project of Funeral's drummer Eek. The project was formed in '96. Fans of the old Funeral, old Cathedral, should check this out. In good old doom tradition, the songs are up to 18 minutes long. Very high quality Doom! 2)
Fallen is a melodic metalcore band from the Vilvoorde area (Belgium), playing since 2003 and drawing influence from 90's H8000 metalcore as well as modern day melodic metal.

The Dead

There are at least four bands using the name "The Dead": *American; rock, jamband genres: The Dead, also known as the Other Ones, are a North American rock band composed of former members of the Grateful Dead. After the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann formed a band called The Other Ones. They performed concert tours in 1998, 2000, and 2002, and released one album, The Strange Remain. In 2003, they changed their name to The Dead.

Coffins

Coffins are a Japanese band, formed in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Uchino. Having gone through several lineup changes in the past, they now consist of Uchino, Ryo (drums) and Koreeda (bass). Their sound is influenced by old school '80s and '90s , and . After several demos they released their 1st full-length album "Mortuary In Darkness" in 2005.

Candlemass

Candlemass is a doom metal band formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1984. Candlemass arose from the earlier Nemesis outfit belonging to bassist Leif Edling and guitarist Christian Weberyd. Prior to the dissolvement of the group, Nemesis had released the highly praised 'Day Of Retribution' album in 1984. Debuting Candlemass on the tape trading circuit with the four song 'Witchcraft' demo in 1984, featuring a line-up of Edling, Weberyd and drummer Mats Ekström, and a second demo that November, the band promptly signed to the French Black Dragon label.
