Venice Ahoy

Venice Ahoy are a pop band from Hampshire, England and are riding high on the current wave of new and exciting quality Pop music coming out of the UK. Comparisons have been made to the Gang of Four and Foals but their youthfulness and energy, especially live, has earned them a reputation that is second to none. They consist of Joshua Parker (vocals/bass), Harry Hajiantoni (guitar/vocals), Chris Peden (guitar/vocals) and Tristan Ritter (drums/vocals). They have played alongside Johnny Foreigner, Tubelord, BlakFish, The Maple State and Secondsmile to name a few.

Cut Off Your Hands

Cut Off Your Hands is: Nick Johnston (vocals), Jonathan Lee (guitar), Philip Hadfield (bass), and Elroy Finn (drums). Their self produced debut EP "Shaky Hands" was released in August 2006 on Speak N Spell, and includes the singles "You and I" and "Expectations". Formerly known as Shaky Hands, the band decided to change their name due to a threat of legal action from a similarly-named American band (The Shaky Hands). As their EP was intended to be titled "Cut Off Your Hands", they simply decided to switch their artist name with the EP title.

Pulled Apart By Horses

'Pulled Apart by Horses' could be a sick torture method or the name of a new rock consortium from Leeds of west riding. 'Momentum has been building steadily over the past year for PABH and the band have quickly grabbed attention from the likes of Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq, the NME, Artrocker, Scottish rising-stars Dananananaykroyd and the inquisitive minds of some of Britain's most recognizable indie labels.

Dinosaur Pile-up

Dinosaur Pile-Up is the lo-fi Indie Pop project of Matt Bigland (formerly of Mother Vulpine) from Kendal who is based in Leeds. He writes all the songs which he records on an 8-track recorder. The live band is made up of Tom on Base and Steve on drums. Their self-released single 'My Rock N'Roll' was a 'single of the week' on the Zane Lowe show on Radio 1.

Shoes and socks off

Lo-Fi solo project of ex Meet Me in St Louis frontman and current Shield Your Eyes bassist Toby Hayes. Recorded his debut album 'From the Muddy Banks of the Melitzer' on September 24th 2008 which has been released on Big Scary Monsters Records The album is an acoustic record, but there are plans to re-record the album at a later date with full orchestration. The re-recording is likely to be called 'Hand Reared Suburban Piglet' and is rumoured to feature some of Hayes' former and current band-mates from other projects.
