28-year old Mickaël started playing the piano and organ at the age of six, and formed his first band when he was 16. Which is how he could write the parts of most arrangements in Teaser For: Matter (cello, Rhodes…) and play the rest (drums, guitars). Teaser for: matter has tinges of Britains late 1960s Canterbury sound (early Soft Machine) meeting the blurry depths of folky Americana (Morphine, Low), with occasional nods to abstract hip hop (Why?). Or as French music bible Les Inrockuptibles sees it, folk becomes a dangerous music again, playing without a net in a phantasmagoric universe.
King Britt is a pioneer of all things soulful, rhythmically textured and melodically provocative. This Philadelphia native has found a way to escape the strictures of a single category of music by expressing his creations through deep house, hip-hop, broken beat, nu-jazz, funk and afro-tech. Whether it’s film scoring for Hollywood, rocking the playa at Burning Man or consulting for the leading urban lifestyle brands, there are no limits to what King Britt will do next.
Ben Mono – ambitious multi-player, producer, remixer and in demand DJ from Munich – has built himself a solid reputation in the world of advanced diskotainment during the past years. His debut album "Dual" was praised by critics for being “complex, deep, tight and authentic at the same time” (De:Bug). His tracks can be found constantly on heavy rotation in the playlists of supporters like Dave Clarke, Jazzanova, Funkstörung or Zombie Nation. Finally, after carefully polishing his latest compositions, Ben Mono is about to drop his long awaited sophomore effort: "Hit The Bit".
