The son of Ecuadorean immigrants, Roberto Carlos Lange was born in South Florida in 1980. His childhood was suffused with tropical heat, humidity, hurricanes, all refracted with the rich sounds and colors of the various Latin American cultures of southern Florida. Pounding bass beats from passing cars, boom boxes bouncing down the block, and late-night parties called "peñas" provided a foundation for Lange’s interest in sound and lifelong quest to discover the unlimited variety of objects used to produce music.

Hailing from LA's very own Watt's, Dibiase a.k.a Diabolic's productions run the gambit from 8 bit video game classics to seductive soul to raw grungy bangers. This 12 time beat battle champion and runner up of the Los Angeles Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle has no limitations. No sample is safe.
Newcomer Indian Wells may only have one track on his SoundCloud page and may have just dropped a very limited release (only 100 copies printed, artwork above) via DIY label Bad Panda, but the producer already seems to know exactly what he's doing. Sounding something like a blend of Shlohmo's lo-fi textures and Actress' gritty techno mantras, Deuce exhibits the shadowy aesthetics, crunchy beats, and brooding soundscapes that make Indian Wells' tunes something to take notice of. Check out the rest of his Night Drops Night Drops record here.
