Cueball 8

Cueball 8 are an eight piece Ska band from Stratford-Upon-Avon, born from a love of punk rock, reggae and ska music. Taking influence from artists such as Manu Chao, The Toyes and Sublime to name but a few, the band display a mosaic of different genres. Cueball 8 have supported The Beat, Adequate 7, Sonic Boom 6, Bad Manners and Neville Staple of the Specials, as well as performing a host of headline shows around the UK.

Paul Curreri

Paul Curreri is renowned for his inspired songs, bright voice, and talented finger-style playing. Described by WTJU's Aer Stephen as "A ruffled gypsy gutter cowboy, a true life adventurer, a bright new voice", Paul Curreri has also been compared to Martin Sexton for his reputation for inspired live performances (and more elusive success in the studio).
Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Paul now makes his home in Charlottesville with songwriter/guitarist Devon Sproule; the two were married in May of 2005.

The Civil Wars

The Civil Wars consists of the fantastic John Paul White, hailing from Florence, AL and the lovely Joy Williams, originally from Santa Cruz, CA, but now residing in East Nashville. The duo’s chance meeting fueled an immediate songwriting chemistry and creative synergy. Their second show ever, performed at a sold out Eddie’s Attic, was recorded and released as a free digital album. Of the duo, Reg’s Coffee House host, Scott Register, praises, “In my 13 years on the radio, few of the artists I’ve championed had as immediate a reaction as The Civil Wars.

Guy Harries

Singer-songwriter Guy Harries is a modern day troubadour, weaving electronic and acoustic sound into song. Cabaret, urban soundscapes and musical influences from around the world are combined and presented in an intimate atmosphere. Guy performs with flute, voice and electronics in a wide range of unusual collaborations. As well as performing his solo projects, he is a member of the experimental band The POW Ensemble founded by award-winning musician Luc Houtkamp (www.powensemble.nl) and has collaborated with the acclaimed Meira Asher with whom he co-founded the Bodylab Arts Foundation.

Spider

There are at least seven artists which have used the name Spider: an indie folk singer from New York, United States, a metal band from England, a punk band from Hungary, a lo-fi band from Washington, United States, a ska/rock band from Malaysia, a power pop band from Wallasey, England, a rapper from Mexico. 1. Spider is an alias for Brooklyn musician Jane Herships. Most of the songs on her release The Way to Bitter Lake are hushed, personal songs with elements of shoegazing reminescent of musicians such as Nick Drake and M. Ward.

Silverclub

Having been told to get some tunes together by Jim Noir, Silverclub have quickly become hot property, bustling their way onto the In The City list and playing Glastonbury in their first few months. There’s Duncan Edward Jones on vocals, guitar, synths and beats, Tommy Walker III on bass and Marc Ashken on beats, synths, and vocals. The band formed when Duncan put together some demos on equipment borrowed from Manchester's own Jim Noir, who told him to 'go and record some songs' in not exactly those words.

Phil Lee

Born in Durham, NC, Lee made his way to NYC in 1971, lived in Los Angeles for a while and finally settled in Nashville a few years ago, collecting adventures enough to fill a dozen albums with "mostly true" tales. Along the way he learned enough about life to know that he wanted to live it instead of squandering it and enough about love to walk away when it was wrong and recognize when it's right, even if it came in some unusual packages ("Jemima James").

Sean Watkins

According to Wikipedia: Sean Watkins (born February 18, 1977) is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, and is one third of the contemporary folk band Nickel Creek. His sister Sara Watkins, also a member of Nickel Creek, plays violin and sings background vocals on the second of his two solo albums. As a whole, Nickel Creek recently participated in a project dubbed Mutual Admiration Society, a collaboration with former Toad The Wet Sprocket singer Glen Phillips.
