i said yes

’i said yes’ find themselves occasionally dispersed and occasionally in the same place, sharing a love of all things musical and some things poetic. The recent discovery of a long-forgotten accordion and several encounters with a tambourine, a glockenspiel, a viola and a melodica have helped ’i said yes’ to confront the fact that perhaps, they aspire to write songs which embody the spirit of indie folk. But then again, perhaps they just play what comes out. ’and then we danced…’ is a collection of some of these songs, a record of the times when i said yes were in the same place.

The Summertides

The Summertides hail from Exmouth. A quaint coastal town in Devon, England,
Exmouth has imbued their unique music with all the sex, love and carnal debauchery of the traditional British seaside.
Echo at the Carnival is a truly personal and intriguing biography of songwriter Simon Richardson, who takes you on a musical journey of all the highs and lows that come with a few nights well spent.

Spring Offensive

Spring Offensive is a band that you will come back to time and time again. Not only do they write melodies that you will find yourself humming at inappropriate times, their love for telling stories is clear. Their live shows promise to be exciting and inventive, if not, a bit unhinged. There is a spectacle for every song, and along with their dirty, stenciled I Was Killed By The Spring Offensive t-shirts, they seem to harness boundless energy. They are currently residing in Oxford.
