Malek Jandali

Malek Jandali (Arabic: مالك جندلي‎) (b. 1972), is a Syrian composer and pianist considered to be among the most versatile and creative musicians in the Arab world. Born September 10th in Los Angeles California; Roy Ayres was once one of the most visible and sought after Jazz Stars that I was introduced to in my teens. The word Vibraphonist is used for him in the 60's.... an R & B Bandleader in the 70's and 80's... people often misunderstand how important Roy's contribution to Jazz was... not to mention how he aided teenage boys in knowing what vibe to use on the opposite sex.

Autodidactic Drummer since the age of 6. Started taking trumpet and piano lessons and the same time. First drumlessons at the age of the 12. Involved in serveral Cover- and Jazz-Bands. After his musical studies he moved to Hamburg in 2001.

There are at least two artist with name Makoto: 1. Based in Tokyo, Makoto Shimizu, better known as simply Makoto, is Japan's chief Drum & Bass ambassador. After completing an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, Makoto first signed with LTJ Bukem's legendary Good Looking Records back in 1999.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength, releasing a long string of quality music in the form of singles and EP's, but also on the famous 'Earth' and 'Progression Sessions' compilation albums.
