Spectrum

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Spectrum is a project of Peter Kember, a British musician more usually known as Sonic Boom, and founding member of the band Spacemen 3. Sonic Boom's first solo album, Spectrum, was recorded in 1989 while Spacemen 3 were still together, and featured the other members of the group. However, when Spacemen 3 disbanded in 1991, Kember recruited new musicians for the group Spectrum.

Howlin' Rain

This Northern Ca group was formed in 2004 by Ethan Miller of Comets On Fire with Ian Gradek. John Moloney (of Sun burnt hand of the man) joined the group to record the first album, self titled and released by Birdman Records. This has caught comparisons with the early Grateful Dead and the ear of label impresario Rick Rubin. Upon Moloney's departure in 2006 the group was recreated to record "Magnificent Fiend", co-released by Birdman and American Records in 2008.

Doldrums are band based around Bill Kellum, Matt Kellum and Justin Chearno. They get together every now and then (lately its been mostly then) and record. Bill Kellum has been running the amazing Vhf label since 1991, which has released a stream of essential recordings from Skullflower, Flying Saucer Attack, Pelt, Rake, Wingtip Sloat, Total, Sunroof!, Richard Youngs/Simon Wickham-Smith and others.

Bleach

Bleach is the name of more than one band; There is a blistering all-girl Japanese rock trio, an American rock group (see below), as well as a British group (see below). They all redirect here. == Bleach (JP) == Bleach (alternatively called Bleach03 or Bleachmobile) was an all-female punk trio from Okinawa, Japan. The members included, Kanna on guitar and vocals, Miya on bass and Sayuri on drums. Kanna was the primary lyricist. Citing artistic differences, Bleach disbanded on June 10, 2009, less than a month before the release of their final album "bleach stone."
