Crime & the City Solution were a rock group headed by Australian singer/songwriter Simon Bonney and active between the years of 1977-1991. Despite roots dating back as far as 1978, Crime & the City Solution did not truly emerge until 1984, coming to life in the wake of the dissolution of the seminal Birthday Party. Crime & the City Solution had many members over the years, which can be divided into four distinct line-ups: Sydney in 1977-78, Melbourne in 1979, and two groupings in Berlin. The only common member in all four line-ups was Bonney.
The Blackeyed Susans are an Australian band, formed in Perth in 1989, based in Melbourne since 1992. They were initially a "holiday band" put together by David McComb in 1989 while The Triffids were in hiatus. And The Lizard King", at BH Media, and it is available free at their shows. Their current line up is Tom Robinson - Guitar + Vocals, Alex Woolgar - Drums, Rich Morley - Bass. They have been lucky enough to share the stage with BlakFish, Rolo Tomassi, Tubelord, Meet Me In Saint Louis, Im sorry Callfield, Tellison, From The Captain and The Novelties.
Tupelo is the name of the musician Stephen R. Clarke. He is a 22 year old bass/guitar player who has taken a keen interest in electronic music. He is slowly building up a good home studio. The album 'Time' is a collection of music created using GarageBand. His first album '4-track recordings' is the result of a cheap guitar, a reasonably priced bass, a reasonably priced acoustic guitar and a second hand 4 track recorder. Stephen also writes, films and soundtracks no budget films. These soundtracks (Meltdown, Into The Dark, Mortus Somnus) were also created using GarageBand.
Schvendes are a 5-piece band from Perth, Australia, known for writing dark bluesey songs about dark things (and rubbish collections) featuring guitars, keyboards and cello. Schvendes released their debut LP - 'Sweet Talk Your Enemies' on Good Cop Bad Cop Records with distribution through Inertia in June 2008.
