Death Doom Metal

Twilight's Embrace

In early 2010, Ben Sizer (guitars), Allan Sharp (drums), Dee Christopher (vocals), Al Venn (bass), and Dan Snowdon (guitars) gathered together to write dark and melodic metal. Drawing from a range of influences, Nottingham’s Twilight's Embrace blend slow and majestic doom-laden riffs with twin guitar harmonies that switch between the delicate and the destructive, overlaid with deathly roars and gothic baritone choruses.

Indesinence

The seeds were planted in late 2001. Four kindred souls coming from different sides of the music spectrum converged, in London, UK, to discover a common disillusionment with a local Metal underground ecosystem that seemed to operate on mundanity, technicality, brutality for its own sake and 'scene points' rather than nurturing artistic individuality, atmosphere and imagination. Several evening-time meetings (both intoxicated, and intoxicating) and extensive talks about conceptual interests, visual art and music in its many guises...

Mar de Grises

The music of Mar de Grises invites to a desolate trip through the endless movement of our lives. Bitter feelings and the diverse forms in which the man expresses them are intermingled with the most various musical elements to create an intense sonorous film, where moving emotions emerge from overwhelming atmospheres. This is somewhat of a surprise, the up-and-coming Finnish doom label Firebox signing a Chilean band with an original take on doom metal.

Swallow the Sun

The idea of Swallow the Sun was formed in Jyväskylä, Finland in spring 2000 by Juha Raivio. He had few songs that didn't fit the style of his band at the time, Plutonium Orange. Pasi Pasanen was playing drums in Plutonium Orange at the time, so Juha started rehearsing the songs with him. In 2001 they started to look for people to play with - the first one to join the line-up was Markus Jämsen, whom Pasanen and Raivio already knew from their earlier projects. After Jämsen, along came Mikko Kotamäki from Funeris Nocturnum as the bassist/vocalist.

Ansia

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Mexican independent band, dark sounds, deep lyrics, great voice. 2) Ansia project was born in Italy due to the will of finding new sounds into the doom scene. The lineup started with Ruben (drums), Steven (guitars) and Ethere (vocals, bass, synth). In the spring of 2006 they begun working in their music, and after a few months the songs I, II, and III were finished, then mixed by Alessio Fagrelli (ex-session keyboards for Deinonychus), who also plays piano on the song I.
