Fat Digester are a music based collective that at times include dancers, rappers and visual artists. They fuse fun and social comment in a blend of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop. Fat Digester have recently won the Budweiser Budvar Brewed Jazz, best UK pub jazz act, playing at the 2008 Cheltenham Jazz Festival in the UK. The winning track was Sweet Sweet, available to listen to on this site.

DJ Rashad’s music addiction manifested at age three when he was applauded and in demand for his aping Michael Jackson’s Thriller. His command performance was reveled at family activities, gatherings and barbeques. His parents impressed by his natural rhythm and timing, enrolled him in music lessons where he mastered the guitar, the drums and the key board. DJ Rashad’s talent was soon noted by band instructors where he was “sanctioned” as the solo drummer. His distinctive percussion and acoustic skills earned him the role as the “closer” for school concerts.
Originally a member of electronica duo clickits, John McCaffrey moved from Accrington in the North West of England to Melbourne, Australia and started a solo project as part timer.
Concentrating on a mixture of delicate folk flavours and electronic augmentation, part timer has released albums on moteer, flau and lost tribe sound. Collaborations with multi-instrumentalist Aaron Martin have been released on mobeer and under the spire.
Marijuana Deathsquads are comprised of multiple drummers, electronic instruments, and highly effected vocals. They began as a side-project of Building Better Bombs, which is why all members of BBB are also in Marijuana Deathsquads. Audionite is the stage name and project of Szymon Rabowicz, a 25-year-old from Berlin who started his career as a producer and began making music seven years ago. He discovered dance music very late so he refuses to stick to the rules and rightly so, what with his already huge span of influences. For a producer who grew up listening to Hip Hop and R&B, his sounds are far from the block parties in Brooklyn and are much more at home in the underground clubs of Berlin.
Like stories behind scars, the music of Michael Lee captures nostalgia, but with modesty.
