The Trip

"Maiocchi & The Trip" was originally a psychedelic rock band formed in London, UK in 1966 by Riki Maiocchi (voice), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), William Gray (voice and guitar), Arvid Andersen (voice and bass) and Ian Broad (drums). With this formation the band produced no records. Soon after (1967) the two founders, Maiocchi and Blackmore, and the drummer Broad left the band. They reformed the same year (1967) as "The Trip" with two members, Joe Vescovi (keyboard) and Pino Sinnone (drums), and began to move to more progressive sounds.

Premiata Forneria Marconi

Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) is an Italian progressive rock band that achieved a high level of popularity in the 1970s, with success in both the British and American charts. While they had many Italian contemporaries, such as Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Area, Perigeo, and Le Orme, they were the only Italian band of their genre to become highly successful outside of their home country. Their music shows influence from Genesis and early King Crimson, but they still manage to maintain a high level of originality and a distinct, warm Mediterranean sound.

Phaedra may refer to a number of artists. 1) Phaedra is the musical persona of Norwegian artist and singer Ingvild Langgård, making music that blends dream folk, wooden instruments, psychedelia, medieval hymns and reversed singing, among other things. Her first album, The Sea was released by hailed independent label Rune Grammofon in january 2011 on white vinyl, cd and streaming/mp3 - a conceptual album being the first part of a forthcoming trilogy. The album tells stories of honeydewed autumns, blackwinged animals, the darkest of hours, and, well; the sea.

RanestRane

RanestRane is an Italian prog band from Rome that was formed in 1998 with the aim to compose and perform a rock-opera. Unlike other famous rock operas, where the movie is based on the story conceived by the musicians, RanestRane choosed the gothic masterpiece of W. Herzog “Nosferatu The Vampyre”, and composed a whole new soundtrack with the songs telling the story to the public. They started their live activity in 2000, performing a show called “cineconcerto”, with the images of the Herzog’s film flowing in the background.

Delirium

There are several bands called Delirium: 1) Delirium is an important band in the history of Italian progressive rock music, having been active since 1970. They originally formed in Genoa during the late 1960s as I SAGITTARI and their line-up consisted of Ettore Vigo (keyboards), Peppino Di Santo (drums, vocals), Mimmo Di Martino (acoustic guitar) and Marcello Reale (bass). The later arrival of Ivano Fossati (vocals, keyboards, flute) completed the band, whose early musical style was a mix of the so-called Italian melodic tradition and UK progressive influences.
