Noisecontrollers consists of 2 fulltime producers: Bas Oskam and Arjan Terpstra. Founded in 2005 both with a totally different musical background but with a great preference for Hardstyle (in every shape that is). Their First release was on DJS-Records called “Wanna Freak You” and their second release “Creatures” already on the big Fusion Records. In 2007 their popularity grew strong and they started to perform their live act (including their own MC.
There is more than one artist with this name. Here they are described in order of popularity on Last.fm. 1) Guernica (ゲルニカ), presumably named after the famous painting Guernica by Pablo Picasso, this Japanese trio from the 1980s specializes in avant-garde music in a retro 1920's and 30's cabaret style. Their early recordings are primarily electronic (using synthesizers instead of traditional acoustic instruments) but their later works are performed by a live orchestra.
Battery City was unofficially put on the map in the fall of 2010 as a punk-rock band from Southport, NC. Guitarist and vocalist, Abby Piette, saw her graduation project on songwriting as the perfect excuse to start the band with drummer, Holland Watkins. Three home-recorded tracks later and they knew they couldn't stop there. In January, they had their name.
