Daley grew up in Waltham Park Road, Kingston, and, influenced by American soul and Jamaican artists such as Dennis Brown, began his singing career by entering local talent shows. He became the lead vocalist for the group The Flaming Phonics, playing live around Jamaica. Daley decided to drop out of school to pursue his music career, which prompted his mother to throw him out of the family home. Needing to make some money, the group tried out for producer Duke Reid, but left before finishing their recording for him due to his habit of firing live gunshots in the studio.

Misty in Roots

Misty in Roots began life as a Southall based British roots reggae band in the early 1970s. Their first album was Live at the Counter Eurovision, a record full of Biblical Rastafarian songs. This powerful, atmospheric live album is a minor classic and was championed by radio DJ John Peel, helping to bring roots reggae to a white audience. At this early stage the band was a collective with five lead singers and various musicians, though by the time of the second album the band, which continues today, had slimmed down to just three members.

The Fugitives

There are multiple artists named The Fugitives: 1. Garage band who released their sole LP The Fugitives at Dave's Hideout in the summer of 1964. 2. The Fugitives, a combination of multi-talented Vancouver artists Mark Berube, Barbara Adler, and Brendan McLeod, have been classified under many guises: slam folk, folk hop, spoken word cabaret. Yet a common throughline is always their remarkable storytelling abilities.

Benjalu

Thriving and following the steps of independent acts before them, benjalu is a band that prides themselves on the old school approach of constant touring to promote their music. Since their formation in 2006 the Newcastle based roots-rock outfit have made the most of their successes. In 2007 benjalu concentrated on playing every week, mainly focussing on shows in their hometown. They capped off the year when the band released their debut EP ‘Reflecting On’ to an overwhelming response.

Barrington Levy

Barrington Levy (born April 30, 1964) is a reggae and dancehall artist. He was born in Clarendon, Jamaica and soon formed a band with his cousin, Everton Dacres, called the Mighty Multitude; the pair released "My Black Girl" in 1977. Levy established his solo career the next year with "A Long Time Since We Don't Have No Love"; though the single was a failure, the fourteen year old was a popular performer at Jamaican dancehalls.

T99

T99 is a techno/acid house music duo founded in Belgium by the end of the 1980s.
Patrick De Meyer started the act and produced some solo material before teaming up with Olivier Abbeloos. This resulted in the track Anasthasia which got fantastic response both in the club scene and the hit-charts.
The only full length album released by the duo is Children of chaos on which the vocals where done by Zenon Zevenbergen. T-99 is also a alternative roots rock band from Amsterdam.

The Dad Horse Experience

Biography
Dad Horse Ottn was a hellraiser and a punk rock scoundrel till, one day, he saw the light. The banjo light. And, drawing from southern Appalachian gospel and from the depths of his own scarred soul, he started to preach the Word through rough pure honest song. He calls it KELLER GOSPEL for it's meant to shine into the darkness of basements and other godforsaken places or souls.
What's he playing? First and foremost, there's the voice. Then we've got strong archaic banjo, and a rich bass via the fotdella bass pedal, which is an unusual foot-operated organ.

Some treasures are way off the map… Since Injuns broke cover in early 2007 with their debut Lionel, It’s A Complicated World, they have enjoyed the mixed blessing of being the black sheep of Scotland’s independent music scene. Blue King Brown
