WE WANNA ROCK AND ROLL! Originally started as a musical amalgamation writing cheesy pop-influenced rocky punk, Ultraxine are a group of individuals who strongly believe in doing things their own way....whether this be drinking mugs of tea on the grimy streets of London, walking around Sheffield in pyjamas, or even writing the occasional song.
We Are The In Crowd didn’t require much time to live up to their name.
Formed in 2009 and signed by Hopeless Records shortly after, this is a band that had all their dominoes poised and ready to fall in their favor in quick succession. Armed with an irresistible combo of male and female vocals, the handful of vibrant songs the group have released are only tastes of what’s on the horizon.
This foxy female fivesome from Oslo, Norway, is the perfect mixture of sweet and sour, combining girl-group harmonies and sass with gritty rock 'n' roll fervor to produce a high-octane hybrid that should have all the hepcats dancing. The ladies, whose CD happens to be one of the first releases from Steven Van Zandt's new label, comprise more than just an all-female version of early, hard-rocking Blondie. This is a non-standard garage-hard rock-surf-pop band that manages to mix up the formula to keep things fresh.
Forever the Sickest Kids are a powerpop/rock band from Dallas, Texas signed to Universal Motown Records Group. They played on Warped Tour this past summer (2008) from June 20 to August 17. Their first EP, "Television Off, Party On" was released in early 2007. Although Forever the Sickest Kids have only been around for just over two years, their roots date back to the members’ childhood. Marc Stewart (Guitar) and Kyle Burns (Drums) are stepbrothers.
Breathe Carolina is an electro-pop duo from Denver, Colorado. Their music is comprised of synthesized beats and tag-teamed, vocoded vocals ranging from melodic harmonies to abrasive screaming. They have released one EP, "Gossip", and two albums. The first album, "It's Classy Not Classic", was released on Sep. 16, 2008, and their second album, "Hello Fascination", was released on Aug. 18th, 2009
Breathe Carolina wrote and recorded It's Classy, Not Classic as a duo, with David producing, in their home studio.
Often tagged as garage-rock revivalists, the Fleshtones mix the fuzz-guitar and Farfisa organ sounds of that genre with rockabilly, '50s and '60s R&B, and surf into a potent retro stew the group likes to call "Super Rock." The group formed in 1976 in Queens with vocalist/keyboardist Peter Zaremba, guitarist Keith Streng, bassist Jan Marek Pukulski, and drummer Bill Milhizer and aimed to return rock and roll to the simplicity and unself-consciousness of the '50s and early-'60s. (The group was often joined on-stage and in the studio by sax player Gordon Spaeth, who passed on in 2005.
