There are now 4 artists sharing the name Civilian; 1) Formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in early 2008, Civilian is the musical project masterminded by Daniel Debarry and Fábio França, two friends who wanted to share their artistic visions and living
experiences. Civilian’s debut EP consists in four conceptual songs, most of them instrumental with occasional vocals, based on an experimental concept and rooted in a post-metal aesthetic.

Monolake was formed in 1995 as the duo of Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke, although on later albums the group consisted of Henke alone, with Behles focusing his time on running the Ableton software company. Their sound can generally be described as minimal techno filled with nice touch of fine tech dub, although the 1999 Gobi. The Desert EP, which contains a single 37-minute atmospheric piece, is a notable exception. Monolake first released an album and several 12"s on Berlin's Chain Reaction label, then on Monolake/Imbalance Computer Music, which is operated by Robert Henke.

Michael Landau is a jazz/blues/rock/fusion guitarist based out of Los Angeles. Simone Dinnerstein is an American classical pianist, born in New York City, USA. Her father, Simon Dinnerstein, is a painter. She studied in the precollege program at the Manhattan School of Music with Solomon Mikowsky. She later attended The Juilliard School of Music and was a student of Peter Serkin. She also studied in London with Maria Curcio. In addition to her solo recital work, she has been a featured guest artist at the Bard Music Festival, as well as appearing as a chamber musician in performances of contemporary music, including works of Yehudi Wyner and Ned Rorem.
Comets on Fire are a psychedelic rock band from Santa Cruz, California. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarist and vocalist Ethan Miller and longtime friend bassist Ben Flashman, who were seeking to create rhythmically and sonically intense music that paid no attention to categorizations. The band's self-titled debut was released in 2001 and eventually issued on the Alternative Tentacles label. Recorded on a four-track, it was a garage/psych freakout of intense if not epic proportions.
