Swedish House Mafia

The Swedish House Mafia is a group of four popular house DJs and producers; Eric Prydz, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. However Sebastian Ingrosso has stated that because Eric Prydz has moved to London he is no longer considered part of the Swedish House Mafia. The trio remain close with Eric Prydz aka Pryda, supporting many of his tracks in their sets.

Bolivian composer, resident in the UK since 1984. Born in Cochabamba, he started musical life singing for guavas at Don Abundio's barber in Montero, eastern Bolivia. As a child folk musician, he sang and played the charango at peña Ollantay, a folk club famous in the 1960s in Cochabamba. Teen age and hormonal changes put and end to that. Studied at Instituto Laredo - a specialist music school in Cochabamba - then at Universidad Católica Boliviana in La Paz, then had lessons in Japan with Takashi Iida for one year and with Akira Ifukube for two years.

Krzysztof Penderecki

Krzysztof Penderecki (born November 23, 1933 in D?bica) is a Polish composer and conductor. His 1960 avant-garde Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima for string orchestra brought him to international attention, and this success was followed by acclaim for his choral St. Luke Passion. Both these works exhibit novel compositional techniques. Since the 1970s Penderecki's style has changed to encompass a post-Romantic idiom.

Coco Rosie

The luminously lovely indie folk-tronic duo CocoRosie consists of the Casady sisters, vocalist/guitarist/harpist Sierra and vocalist/percussionist Bianca. Both sisters had an early love of music that they pursued as they grew up, albeit in different ways: Sierra began operatic vocal training while she was in high school, while Bianca sang and wrote songs but kept them to herself. That is, until she reconnected with Sierra, who joined Bianca at her Paris apartment, and they started playing and recording songs together.

Cassandra Wilson

Cassandra Wilson (born 4th December 1955) is a U.S. ist and two-time Grammy Award winner from Jackson, Mississippi. Two of her albums, Blue Skies (1988) and New Moon Daughter (1996), have topped the US jazz charts, and the latter also won her a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance in 1997. More recently, Wilson's latest album Loverly (2008) also won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009.
