Finnebassen

Dirty melancholic house music is the produce of much musical soul searching for emerging Norwegian star Finnebassen. Leaving his teenage genre hopping days behind him, 2008 saw a house music epiphany, as a deep rooted interest in electronic music began, bringing Finnebassen to the sound he relays today. Although he has been producing music and playing gigs in his hometown of Oslo for a long time, 2012 has finally seen the first attacks of Finnebassen on the worldwide electronic music scene, in both performance and production.

Artist Type:

Cloud

There are multiple artists with this name. Also shares a name with a remixer from OverClocked Remix. Hailing from Gothenburg in Sweden (home to our very own Plej), Cloud (aka Alex Berg) has an undisputable musical history. Brought up by musical parents and with his older brother Hird already having a successful recording career (his recent album "Moving On" has been creating quite a stir in the future-jazz scene), it was a natural choice for Cloud to step into the studio... Gothenburg has been putting Sweden firmly on the music map of late, with a huge amount of young talent emerging.

Artist Type:

Cram

This new quartet by Van Binsbergen sounds energetic and groovy, but has her characteristic frayed, playful edge to it.
Drummer Arend Niks and saxophone player Rutger van Otterloo also play in Corrie en de Grote Brokken, the combination with the fantastic latin-jazz bass player Mick Paauwe (Cubop City Big band, Rumbata, Bye-ya!) is new. Droning, intense baritone saxophone- and basslines with crackling drum- and guitar playing, next to subtle ballads and more open structures.
