Black To Comm

Black To Comm is an alias for Dekorder label owner Marc Richter's audio excursions. Richter creates his music using scratchy shellac and vinyl records, field recordings, a so called "kitchen gamelan," and more traditional instruments like organs, guitars, pianos and mbiras. The layering and hypnotic repetition of short loops from Psychedelia, Free Jazz, Vaudeville, and various other old recordings reveals alternative melodic dimensions not apparent in the source material.

Ryan Teague

Ryan Teague is a composer/producer working in the field of electro-acoustic composition. His music is an exploration of the possibilities between more traditional instrumentation, techniques and arrangements, combined with electronic treatments, sampling and manipulations. His distinct musical style first came to light through his debut release Six Preludes on Type Records. The ideas developed in these initial experiments naturally evolved into his second release for Type Records Coins and Crosses which featured a 24 piece String Orchestra, confirming Teague’s ambitious musical style.

Richard Skelton

Since 2006, UK artist Richard Skelton has been releasing small run documentations of his own musical explorations through his Sustain Release label. These recordings are always exquisitely packaged, in materials and imagery that really invoke the feel of the recordings locked away on the discs.
Place and space play a big factor in Skelton’s creative process, transporting the listener to the environment in which the music was originally recorded.
