Reks

Corey Isiah Christie, better known by his stage name Reks is a Boston rapper. His albums Along Came The Chosen (2001, Landspeed Records) and Grey Hairs (2008, Showoff Records) were both released to general acclaim in the hip hop community. His debut featured hip hop musicians including Young Zee, ED OG, J-Live and 7L while his second album featured DJ Premier, Large Professor, Skyzoo, Big Shug, Termanology, Krumbsnatcha and was mostly produced by Statik Selektah.

The Knux

Composed of brothers Krispy Kream and Rah Al Millio, the Knux are an alternative rap duo who are musicians as well as singer/rappers. Born in New Orleans yet displaced by Hurricane Katrina, the musically schooled brothers began creating a stir nationally in late 2007 when they were the opening act for Common on his Finding Forever tour. Dressed in throwback Adidas zip-ups, fat gold chains, and altogether atypical contemporary rap attire, the Knux performed with a live band (the Symetrics) and DJ (DJ Cobra) and frequently left crowds puzzled and occasionally booing.

Canibus

Born Germaine Williams in 1974 in Jamaica, Canibus moved to the United States with his mother at a young age. Because his mother's career required constant relocation, the family moved frequently and the soon-to-be rapper found solace within himself. His rhetorical abilities blossomed later, once hip-hop became the guiding force in his life. He began rhyming and in the mid-'90s joined a group called T.H.E.M. (The Heralds of Extreme Metaphors.)

There are at least two artists known as Rock. 1) A post-hardcore band from Moscow, Russia. 2) Jamal Bush, better known by his stage name Tha Rockness Monstah, or in short Rock, is an American rapper, famous as a member of hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik and the duo Heltah Skeltah along with Ruck. After releasing two albums with Heltah Skeltah, Nocturnal and Magnum Force, Rock left Duck Down Records and pursued a solo career.
