From the ashes of Negative FX (with Choke of Slapshot fame) rose Last Rights. Musically not as fast as his previous band and more methodical. The band only played one show and released one 7" which Taang Records re-released with the Negative FX LP.
1. Norways Shipwrecked (NOT to be confused with the American band called Shipwreck) is a hardcore punk band including members from Onward, Enforcer, Common Cause, Insurance Risk and Award. They put out a demo in 2004, a 7" EP in 2005 and after several years' hiatus an LP entitled "The Last Pagans" in early 2012. 2. Shipwrecked is a hardcore/metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, pushing the limits between genres such as sludge, hardcore and progressive.
There are two artists using the name Knife Fight (1) Knife Fight was a fast hardcore band from Southern California. None of the other KF's ever put anything out, so they don't count. Never one to shy away from wearing their influences on their sleeves, you can hear heisted riffs and lyrics from bands such as Negative Approach, America's Hardcore, Straight Ahead, Rudimentary Peni, Voorhees/Shark Attack/F.U.'s/Deathreat, Battalion of Saints, and apparantly Lack Of Interest. But that's only 7 songs out of like 40.
Mind Eraser is a hardcore/powerviolence band from Boston, MA. Their first full length release was "Cave" in 2005. In 2006, they released "Glacial Reign" and in 2009 Mind Eraser released both the "Conscious Unconscious" MLP and the "The Prodigal Son Brings Death" 7 inch. "Conscious Unconscious is considered Mind Eraser's most experimental release to date, with 2 songs that each range in lengths of 10 minutes and up.
Negative Approach is an American hardcore punk band. They are considered one of the pioneers of hardcore punk, along with bands like Minor Threat, Bad Brains and Black Flag. Formed in Detroit, Michigan, Negative Approach existed from 1981-1984, and now again from 2006-present. Like most hardcore bands, they were little known in their day outside of their hometown. There is one band called DYS and one band called Dys. Last.Fm mixes them up: 1.) Formed at ground zero of Boston's legendary straight edge hardcore scene, DYS, stood for "Department of Youth Services" but they jokingly told everyone it stood for "Dave You Suck".
They rose out of SS Decontrol's Boston Crew, going on to help establish the city as a center of the movement along with Negative FX and Last Rights.
