The band was originally formed in 1975 by college friends Mike Finney (vocals) and Steve Perrin (guitar),[1] alongside Lawrence Tickle (bass) and Tony Trap (drums).[2] The band changed tack with the advent of punk in 1977 and Finney and Perrin recruited a new line-up of Pip Nicholls (bass), Adrian Wright (guitar), and Alec Sidebottom (drums, formerly of The Purple Gang), now mixing punk rock with sixties influences.

Warrington rock band EXILE PARADE are playing a host of UK shows this spring and summer to support the release of their upcoming single 'HEART INTO SUICIDE' on April 27 2009. There were two projects at least known as The Shadows. One was a roots reggae outfit that cut a few 7"s on Trojan Records. The other one is covered in detail below. The Shadows were the fore-runners of the guitar bands of the British pop scene of the swinging sixties. They began as the Drifters in the late fifties but changed the name to the Shadows to avoid confusion with an American group with the same name.
Hardcore Superstar are a hard rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden with heavy sleaze influences. The band was formed in 1997 and have released seven albums to date. Besides a short break, Hardcore Superstar have continuously toured and recorded since their formation. Hardcore Superstar formed in autumn 1997 in Gothenburg and signed to Gain soon afterwards. Their debut album was recorded and released in Sweden.
