Cemetery Urn was formed in the Australian summer 2006 in Melbourne, Australia, by Andrew Gillon (Abominator, Bestial Warlust) and Damon Bloodstorm (Corpse Molestation/Bestial Warlust, Abominator, Kutabare). During many....many meetings at the bar throughout 2005 a dark vision of a new band was evolving. Through the alcoholic haze, a new force in Melbourne Death Metal was emerging. As Andrew was about to enter the studio to complete the recording of the forth devastating full length offering from Abominator, the now complete vision was put on ice until Andrews recording commitments were done.
1) Possessed is an American death/thrash metal band and was formed in 1983 in San Francisco, California. After breaking up in 1993, the band reformed under original bassist/vocalist Jeff Becerra in 2007. They are noted for their fast playing style, Becerra's guttural vocals and have been cited as an influence on the death metal genre. The band's influence on the genre is so great that they are sometimes called the "godfathers" of the death metal genre and are often considered the first death metal group, with the name of the genre possibly coming from their first demo entitled "Death Metal".

Unleashed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1989 by bassist Johnny Hedlund after he left Nihilist for personal reasons. The band was one of the first death metal groups to write songs about history and Scandinavian culture instead of the violent and negative lyrics that are common in the genre. In 1991, the band released their debut studio album, Where No Life Dwells, and toured with Morbid Angel in Europe and United States.
