Following the success of Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas comes diskJokke, a.k.a. Joachim Dyrdahl the latest in a string of exciting and innovative artists hailing from the respected Oslo electronica scene. diskJokke was discovered by Oslo-Disco luminary Prins Thomas, who immediately signed three tunes to his Full Pupp label (released on two 12” singles). Almost simultaneously in Germany, M.A.N.D.Y and the Get Physical gang signed diskJokke for five other tunes (spread on two 12” singles) to their new Get Physical sub label, Kindisch.

Telephoned

Telephoned was born one night in Brooklyn when DJ/producer Sammy Bananas and singer/party starter Maggie Horn decided to record their own version of T-Pain's "Can't Believe It." Their track was neither remix nor cover - instead, the duo fashioned a postmodern take on both, warping the original beat into a hypnotic club track and bringing out the dreamy qualities only hinted at in Pain's auto-tuned melodies.

Fur Coat

Fur Coat is the brainchild of Sergio Muñoz (Delete) and Israel Sunshine, two producers from Venezuela who since turning the head of Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus are breaking through on the global house scene with their fresh and groovy funk infused sound. A combination of live vocals, cosmic tripping and a huge remix by Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaurs for their first single ‘Space Balla...d feat. Mock & Toof are two London based producers who record for Tiny Sticks (UK), Mule Musiq (Japan) & DFA Records's Death From Abroad (US) imprint. They were initially noticed with their remix for The Juan Maclean, which was quickly followed up by their re-edit of Madonna's Lycra Virgin. Following more remixes for the likes of Hot Chip, The Scissor Sisters & Maps, Mock & Toof strengthened their position with widely acclaimed singles for Tiny Sticks (Black Jub), Mule Musiq (Zomby) & Rvng Intl (Digits).

Pollyester

POLLYester, founded in 2007, is a disco-wave duo from Munich. Polly Ester aka Polly Lapkovskaja (bass, vocals) is a musician at the Munich Chamber Theater, a member of the bands Kamerakino, The MiSHIMA and Convertible, and organizer of various club events (ZOMBOCOMBO; koshka valerianka). Drummer Yossarian (also vocals) alias Manuel da Coll has studied music and is also a member of LaBrassBanda. Together they play a sort of Dada-Funk with heavy bass and erratic vocals, influenced by and bands like Maximum Joy and ESG.

Gigamesh has been making his mark for several years in dance clubs around the world with his own popular blend of remixes, as well as his work with remix group DiscoTech, and his role in Señor Stereo, a disco influenced live-electronic group. Today,Consequence of Sound exclusively premiered the a mixtape, featuring exclusive remixes of Katy B, Theophilus London and Afrojack, that he made especially for Thursday September 22nd’s Check Yo Ponytail show at El Rey. Gigamesh will share the bill that night with Miami Horror, Class Actress, LA Girlfriend and Franki Chan.
