Sydney band and artist duo Circle Pit (Angie Bermuda and Jack Mannix) inhabit and navigate a murky sea of rock and roll iconography: faded denim, leather, skulls, silver jewelry, bleached hair, fingerless gloves, bird bones, empty beer bottles, feathers, fur, aviator shades, scribbled out or scrawled on text… Hell, even their name is taken from a slam-dance style preferred by skinheads and hardcore enthusiasts of the 1980s.
N.A.S.A. (North America South America) is an international collective of musicians spanning a wide spectrum of musical genres, centered around Squeak E. Clean (Sam Spiegel) and DJ Zegon (Ze Gonzales). Sam and Ze met in April of 2003 at a friend's studio and began making music together the following day. At first they sampled rare Brazilian records from the 60's and 70's to make tracks. However, what started as two crate diggers making music for the fun of it soon developed into something much bigger.
EF is a five-piece band from Gothenburg, Sweden. It all started in May 2003, and soon they stood in a small basement and created quite heavy music. It didn't take long for them to find that melodies, emotions and explosions were more interesting. During the first 3 years they recorded and released 4 CD-R demos and began playing in various locations around Sweden. In the summer of 2005 they were contacted by US label Raise The Red Flag. They decided to co-op, and a full length album was released during 2006.
Ecstatic Sunshine is an ongoing musical project that began in 2005 as a guitar duo comprised of Matthew Papich and Dustin Wong (who has since left the project to pursue Ponytail and his own solo guitar musics). Ecstatics has released 3 LPs and 2 EPs since that time and has performed hundreds of shows in the United States and Europe with a revolving group of players. Currently, Ecstatics live performances are solo endeavors by Papich.
