Shoosh
Shoosh is a 3 piece group consisting of Ed Drury (Guitars, Composition), Neil Carlill (Lyrics, Vocals) and Craig Murphy (Synths, Programming). Their sound is a unique blend of modern ambient music, American folk influenced acoustic guitar and surreal, dadaist lyrics delivered in a highly distinctive and thoroughly compelling style. Neil Carlill is a poet, songwriter, vocalist, composer and musician who is currently in the band Vedette. He was also a founder member and the lead singer with alternative/experimental bands Delicatessen (Rough Trade/Big Life) and Lodger (Island).
UnKindness Of Ravens
UnKindness Of Ravens (UKOR) calls themselves "the grand exposition of musical scribble." It is a group that experiments with new sound, improvisation, and the creative exposition of emotion not present in many experimental groups. UKOR's music delves into the avant garde by way of flirting with influences from the space rock, jazz, blues, gothic, entheogenic, and world scenes. UnKindness Of Ravens (UKOR) was formed in 1991 as an experiment with unconventional sound construction.
Wet Hair
Wet Hair is Shawn Reed, Justin Thye, and Ryan Garbes, the two remaining members of Raccoo-oo-oon that stayed in Iowa City after the band's end. Reed also runs Night-People Records, which Garbes often contributes to. Wet Hair began as a solo outing for Reed in late 2007 during the final months of Raccoo-oo-oon, and after the release of a 12" EP and the Irifi Cassette Garbes was added on organ and live drums.
