There are at least two artists by the name of Gaunt: 1) Gaunt was a garage punk band formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 1991. The original lineup formed from the ashes of the short-lived and punkadelic Black Juju, and consisted of guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Jerry Wick, bassist Eric Barth (who had also been in Two Hour Trip with the Spurgeon brothers, who would soon form Greenhorn) and drummer Jeff Regensburger (later of The Patsys).
The Hipshakes, The Last Next Big Thing from England according to Goner Records! Andrew, Daniel and Bruce bought instruments and formed The Hipshakes at the age of 16 and ‘learned’ to play them. Now, 6 years later they are here to unleash ‘songs’ on people. 1) ZEKE established a nasty disposition while cutting teeth on their own brash hardcore punk. ZEKE formed in 1993 with an original lineup of Blind Marky Felchtone, Donny Paycheck, Mark Pierce, and Dizzy Lee Roth. The band’s first release was 1993’s 'West Seattle Acid Party' single on Wrecking Ball Records, followed by the 'Holley 750' single on IFA Records. ZEKE then set out to bring their energetic recordings to the stage and established a more than formidable reputation as "the live band to beat" via concentrated regional touring.

Having built a reputation for terrorizing crowds with sheer noise power and reckless behavior, they have been described as "a band who felt more like a horror movie than a band ... With guitars that were distorted beyond belief and acted more as auxiliary noise machines than instruments" (Transmission Entertainment) and "Suicide-meets-Chrome-meets-Hawkwind-meets-Screamers-meets-the-killer-last-scene-reveals-in-all-the-alien-episodes-of-The...
