At least two bands share their name with the International Criminal Police Organisation, in short Interpol. 1. Interpol is an indie rock band based in New York City, United States, that took an important part in the post-punk revival of the 2000s. The band consists of Paul Banks (vocals and guitar), Carlos Dengler (bass and keyboards), Sam Fogarino (drums), and Daniel Kessler (guitar and backing vocals).

The Yards

There are 2 bands currently holding the performing name of "The Yards" 1.> The Yards (hence forth referred to as "the yards band")are a band from York in England. In 2002, Chris and Stuart formed The Yards, along with drummer John Miller and keyboard player Jon Hargreaves. Shortly afterwards guitarist, Chris Farrell joined to complete the line-up. In 2004 they released the The Devil Is Alive And Well And In D.C. EP on their own Industrial Erotica label.

Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate were a four-piece indie band from Sheffield, England who formed in 2005 and split in 2009. Like many other up and coming bands such as The Law, The View and The Lions, they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records, later parting ways in November 2007.

Colin MacIntyre

Colin MacIntyre is a Scottish singer, song-writer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and author. His previous albums have been released under the name 'Mull Historical Society', even though the band consists of Colin alone. February 2008 saw the release of his fourth studio album entitled "The Water". This album saw Colin MacIntyre break with tradition both in using his own name and in working with a producer for the first time (Loss, Us and This is Hope were self produced). The new album was produced by Nick Franglen from the group Lemon Jelly.

The Bandits

There are (at least) 3 bands named The Bandits. 1) German movie Bandits (1997) is about an (imaginary) band called The Bandits. The movie soundtrack, released as "The Bandits" sold over 700.000 copies in Germany and includes the tracks "Catch me", "Puppet" und "All Along the Watchtower" (among others). 2) A classic mersey band of the highest order, The Bandits released their first song in 2001 on the 'Beatin' Planks' compilation.
