Najma Akhtar
Najma Akhtar (born 18 September 1962, Chelmsford, Essex), also known as Najma, is an English pop singer of South Asian ancestry. Her distinctive style ranges from fusions of jazz and Indian ghazal, doing updated arrangements of these ghazals (love songs and spiritual songs), along with traditional bhajans and the occasional Bollywood hit.

Alphonsus Celestine Edmund Cassell MBE (born November 16, 1954 died September 16, 2010) is a soca musician who performs under the stage name Arrow. Born on the island of Montserrat in the West Indies, one of his most well-known songs is Hot Hot Hot (resung by David Johansen in his Buster Poindexter alter ego). Although native to Montserrat, Arrow attributes his success to his time in Antigua and time spent with Antiguan bands such as Burning Flames. (2)

Moein
Mooein is an Iranian singer, who is famous for singing love songs. In 1982, after Writing "Yeki Ra Doost Midaram", he left the country. In one of his interviews, Moein actually explains that his song "Yeki Ra Doost Midaram" had been performed by Hayedeh(famous Persian singer before him) by the time he arrived to L.A.. However, it was his version which became very popular and lead Moein to his first hit. Chancha Vía Circuito ("Pig on the Circular Train") is the alter-ego of Pedro Canale, a digi-cumbia DJ and producer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His debut LP, Rodante, was released in Fall 2008 by ZZK Records. It includes remixes and collaborations with a wide variety of artists (Jahdan, Princesa, Rancho MC, Poeta Inka, and Kumbha Kethu). In 2010 he released a mixtape, Río Arriba, to much critical acclaim.

Titi Robin
TITI ROBIN plays mediterranean music of his own.... Gypsy, Mediterranean and Balkan cultures are always clearly present in Titi Robin's music. Both on his records and on stage, Gypsies and Payos, the French and Spanish, Indians, Iranians and Arabs have agreed to dialogue and it is this reconstructed tribe, a genuine arborescence of musicians met over time, that we find around Titi Robin. He plays essentially his own compositions with an important part of improvisation.

LABJACD take their name from the first initials of the seven members in the band and play a style of music not too far removed from The Cat Empire, but with a stronger emphasis on the hip-hop and Latin roots of the music. ReBirth Brass Band
The Rebirth Brass Band is a New Orleans brass band. The group was founded in 1983 by tuba player Philip Frazier, his brother Keith Frazier and trumpeter Kermit Ruffins, along with other musicians with them at the Joseph S. Clark Sr. High School in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans. Rebirth is known for combining traditional New Orleans brass band music, including the New Orleans tradition of second line with funk, jazz, and soul influences. In 1992, Ruffins and Rebirth split amicably after Ruffins decided not to accompany the band on a trip to Africa.

Khaira Arby
Khaïra Arby (sometimes spelled Haira) "The Nightingale of the North" is a singer from Mali. She is from the desert- from Agouni, north of Timbuktu, Mali, and cousin to Ali Farka Touré. She sings in Sonrai, Arabic, Tamashek, accompanied by instruments and rhythms just as varied, with electric guitar and trickling beats, calabash, traditional violin and guitar, and drumming that creates that abrupt squared sound of the music from that part of Mali.
