Vadim Repin

Vadim Repin (born Novosibirsk, Western Siberia, 31 August 1971) is a Russian violinist. In his youth Repin studied with Zakhar Bron and was revered throughout Russia as a child prodigy. At the age of 17, he became the youngest winner of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels, the world's premier violin competition. Vadim Repin played under such leading conductors as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Pierre Boulez, Riccardo Chailly, Charles Dutoit, Michael Tilson Thomas, Valery Gergiev, James Levine, Kurt Masur, Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Mstislav Rostropovich.

Elina Garanca

Elīna Garanča (born September 16, 1976) is a Latvian mezzo-soprano. Born into a musical family in Riga, Garanča entered the Latvian Academy of Music in 1996 to study singing with Sergej Martinov. She continued her studies in Vienna with Irina Gavrilovici and in the United States with Virginia Zeani. Garanča began her professional career at the Südthüringisches Staatstheater in Meiningen and later worked at the Frankfurt Opera. In 1999 she won the Mirjam Helin Singing Competition in Helsinki, Finland

Daniel Hope

The British violinist, Daniel Hope, is renowned the world over for his musical versatility and creativity. Vladimir Davidovich Ashkenazy (sometimes transliterated Ashkenazi) (Russian: ????????? ?????????? ?????????) (born July 6, 1937) is a Russian conductor and, more notably, a pianist. He was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Ashkenazy began his studies at the age of 6 and showing prodigious talent, was accepted at the Central Music School at 8. A graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, he won second prize in the prestigious International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1955 and shared first prize in the 1962 International Tchaikovsky Competition with English pianist John Ogdon.
